Data Conversion, Migration & Custody for Legacy Software – EEZYCLOUD

Legacy Software Data Conversion, Migration & Custody

EEZYCLOUD converts, migrates, and takes custody of business data from legacy and sunsetting software — QuickBooks Desktop, Deltek Vision, Microsoft Dynamics GP and SL, Sage 50, and more — into an open, queryable database you own, with reporting, AI query, and integration on top.

When a vendor sunsets your software, your data doesn’t have to die with it — and you don’t have to accept a forced migration on the vendor’s timeline. Software sunsetting is a liberating event: the locked schema, the reports you couldn’t build, the upgrade treadmill — those restrictions end with the product. Your data comes out, and it becomes more useful than it ever was inside the application.

Two ways to keep going

1. Keep running your software — hosted

If you hold a perpetual license, your software runs as long as you want it to. We host legacy Windows business applications on secure cloud desktops — you bring your license, we run it, backed up and maintained. Your timeline, not the vendor’s. See our QuickBooks hosting service for how this works.

2. Liberate the data — conversion & custody

We extract your complete dataset — every transaction, customer, vendor, item, and year of history — into a faithful, open-format database mirror. You get:

  • Custom reports — anything the old software would never let you build, via our ReportRunner platform
  • AI query — ask questions of your books in plain English and get answers from reconciled data
  • Direct access — run your own queries against your own database
  • Integration — connect the data to your current accounting system, EDI, e‑commerce, or any API consumer
  • Custody — backup, retention, and a full export the day you ever want to leave. It’s your data.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose my data when my software is discontinued?

No. Your data belongs to you, not the vendor. Even after support ends, the data inside your installation or backup files is fully recoverable. We extract it into an open database format you control.

Do I have to migrate to the vendor’s replacement product?

No. Forced migrations are a vendor sales motion, not a technical necessity. If you hold a perpetual license you can keep running your software — hosted with us — or take your data out and use it however you want.

What do you need from us to start a conversion?

Usually just a backup file of your company data and a short call about what you want on the other side: hosted continuity, reports and AI query, integration with another system, or simple long-term retention.

Is converted data audit-safe?

Yes. Our conversions are faithful mirrors — we preserve the source system’s accounting semantics rather than reshaping the data, and reports are generated from reconciled snapshots you can defend to an auditor.
